I do love your writing. Not totally on board here, but wanted to explore a bit. Will look for more articles. At my child's high school, most of the transgendered kids are trans men (at least from talking to my kids) and such this issue is not that prevalent. To the extent that a boy, who transitions, who just "fits in" athletically, I suspect that there would be less reaction. When the boy transitions and dominates, like Lia Thomas, it feels much less fair. By your rule, Lia would have been cap-tied. It would seem at least a good start. It doesn't seem like many (if any) would transition just to win at sports. Thanks for your writing. Appreciated.
