Summer Reading
THB Insider #31
It has been a busy few months here at THB, including the recent rollout of several new data dashboards (with more to come!):
Global Tropical Cyclones (with Ryan Maue)
Please explore them — and let me know suggestions for improvements or if anything does not appear to be working like it should. They are work in progress and will be consistently improved and expanded.
On the new decarbonization page I included a tab with per capita carbon dioxide emissions for regions and countries around the world. Below, you can see that the world’s per capita emissions have remained just about constant over the past 60 years, while per capita emissions of both the U.S. and Europe have dropped significantly.
In the coming weeks, I’ll be digging into the per capita emissions data more deeply with an analysis of what it implies for climate scenarios and projections — there are some important surprises there, so stay tuned.
Going into the weekend I thought I’d share my summer book pile and invite your recommendations for good reads in the comments.
